To enrich the lives of children (ages 5 to 12) with music and vocal artistry; and to foster an environment in which children not only participate but also contribute to the worship experience on a consistent basis. We strive to reach out to our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Members and friends and share the gospel of Jesus Christ in an effort to help them grow and develop spiritually. We also strive to make interpretation of the Deaf available at all services and in all ministries where Deaf Members choose to participate. Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
The FMBC Drama Ministry is committed to evangelizing God’s written word through the creative medium of drama. The ministry uses all ages and talents to include: writing, acting, props, technology, encouragement, praying, willing spirits and hearts, along with any other special abilities. The ministry links spiritual gifts and natural skills and creative abilities together, all for the Gory of God.
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in men.”
I Corinthians 12: 4-6
To support the DeiVision of Music and Arts through participation in the worship experience at FMBC as well as other church related or community outreach opportunities when feasible. Our long term goal is to increase our presence in the church and in the community by re-introducing bells and chimes. We are seeking new members to join us. We rehearse each Thursday evening from 6-7:30 pm.
The FMBC Hymn Choir is a group of men and women who enjoy singing old and new Negro spirituals and metered hymns. We believe that Hymns breathe the praise of the saints, the vision of the prophets, the prayers of the penitent and spirit of the martyrs. Hymns bring solace to the sad, assurance to the perplexed, faith to the doubter and comfort to the oppressed. They span the centuries of history and bridge the barriers of denominations. Weekly rehearsals are Thursdays, 6:30 p.m., Orchestra Room

To act as a vehicle of praise and worship as we glorify God through creative movement. We minister through dance during Sunday morning worship, various church programs, family reunions, black history events and community outreach. Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30pm. Please note that new member training begins in January.
We use our gift of music as one of many ways to serve the Lord. We serve the community at-large as soloists and ensembles in the community representing not only our Lord but our church as well. The orchestra ministry provides a performance venue for members of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, as well as professional musicians in the community who are compelled to play their instruments in a Christian setting and environment.
Routine Meeting Dates and Time: Tuesdays from 7:00pm-8:30pm
