Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School Classes (In-Person/Hybrid)

Classes Begin at 9:15a

* Christian Leadership Class (Room 268)

This class is open to all adults who want to learn more about faith and leadership. We use the Learner’s Study
Guide and other resources to explore what the Holy Bible means and how to use it in daily life. This class also helps
people who want to teach or lead Sunday school in the future.  Please contact Bro. Frank Emory at frankeemory2@gmail.com for virtual class information.

* Current Events (Room 271)

This class uses The Wired Word curriculum. Each week’s lesson links news stories to the Holy Bible. Lessons are
emailed on Thursdays. You do not need to read ahead to come. The class talks about how the Holy Bible can help
us understand what is happening in the world today. Individuals are placed on the mailing distribution list when they attend the class, or make a request to be added by contacting Kevin Patterson klpatte1116@gmail.com.

* Empowered Disciples (Room 279)

This class studies the Holy Bible one book at a time. We look closely at each book to help everyone grow spiritually,
understand the Holy Bible better, and how it matters to our lives today. Our goal is to help everyone grow as followers of
Jesus Christ, and work together in faith and community.

This class is now studying the Book of Romans.  You can join our virtual class by emailing Bro. Kraig Holt at kraigholt@att.net.

 * Marriage Enrichment Group (MEG) Study

This study group is for couples who are engaged or married. The discussions will center on biblical, relational, and social issues that affirm and strengthen marital relationships.  Some topics of discussion are:  Finding God in Marriage, Learning to Love, Sacred Struggle, Sacred Mission, The Holy Couple, and much more.  Please email meg@friendshipcharlotte.org for virtual class information.

* New Millennium (Room 133)

This class uses a discussion-based approach to explore topics that matter to young adults. While it is not a
step-by-step Bible study, we use scripture to guide our conversations and help us learn how to connect and live
out our faith in everyday life.  Please contact Sis. Gloria Campbell-Whatley at gcampbe1@uncc.edu for virtual class information.

* Volunteer Class (Room 303)

This class uses UMI Precepts for Living: Foundations of the Faith. Most people in this class are ages 54 and up, and about
30 come each week. You can join in person, via Zoom, or on the phone. We build community through learning, praying,
and helping each other grow.  Contact Deacon Kenneth Vinson at kgvinson@bellsouth.net for dial-in information.
