TODAY'S LENTEN DEVOTIONAL

February 28, 2026
Theme: Praise God Everywhere
Today’s Scripture: Psalm 150:1–6

Scripture: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” - Psalm 150:1–6

Thought: Praise is a survival language that declares hardship will not have the final word. When we praise God everywhere, in our kitchens, cars, hospital rooms, and quiet mornings, we remember that God’s divine presence fills every space our lives touch.

Prayer: Breath-giving God, fill our breath with gratitude and our spirits with hope. Receive our praise from every corner of our lives. We honor you with all that we are. Amen.

Positive Practice: Let your breath become worship by inhaling “Thank you” and exhaling “Praise.” Let each breath become a small sanctuary of worship.

Lenten Emphasis - Heart Health for African Americans: Joyful movement and deep breathing support emotional wellness and heart health. During Lent, spend a few minutes each day breathing slowly, stretching gently, or listening to music that lifts your spirits. Protecting your heart is an act of sacred care.

Mission Emphasis - HBCUs: Pray for HBCU students and educators carrying forward a legacy of service and knowledge.
