TODAY'S LENTEN DEVOTIONAL

Date: March 22, 2026

Theme: The Daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite, a soldier in David’s army

Today’s Scripture: II Samuel 11

Scripture:– II Samuel 11:3-21- King David plots and makes his own plans thinking of himself while manipulating others.

Thought:  David plotted, planned, and did things out of selfish ambition without God’s guidance. David’s plotting & planning was exposed, it failed and hurt others involved. When we plot & plan out of selfish ambition it hurts others, ourselves and further separates us from God.

Prayer:  Lord, help us to follow your plan and purpose for our lives. Lord, help us to do nothing out of selfish ambition. Help us oh Lord to be mindful of others and to not abuse the power or influence you give us, in Jesus’s name Amen.

Positive Practice: Be mindful of how you affect others in with what you say and do wherever you go.

Lenten Emphasis: Nutrition & Healthy Eating. While we are in Lenten season and we usually give up something we like as a sacrifice.
Take 1 Corinthians 10:31 into consideration that “whatever we eat or drink, do it all for the glory of God.”

Mission Emphasis: Be intentional about telling and thanking a Woman or Women that have made an impact into your life.
