TODAY'S LENTEN DEVOTIONAL

February 21, 2026
Theme: Something Better Is Ahead—Later, Down the Road
Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 11:32–40

Scripture: “Yet all these were commended for their faith, though they did not receive what was promised, since God had provided something better.” - Hebrews 11:32–40

Thought: Faith doesn't always see immediate fulfillment; some promises unfold across generations. Hope stretches toward a future God is still shaping.

Prayer: Promise-keeping God, strengthen our faith when fulfillment feels far away and keep hope alive within us. Amen.

Positive Practice: Write down one hope for the future, yours or the next generation, and pray over it. Release it to God’s timeline.

Lenten Emphasis - Heart Health for African Americans: Hope, rest, and community support strengthen both emotional and heart health. Staying spiritually grounded and connected to others further supports overall emotional and cardiovascular well-being.

Mission Emphasis – HBCUs:
HBCUs embody hope for the future. Invest in the future by supporting HBCUs, which embody hope for generations yet to come.
