Hello FMBC Parents/Guardians and Children,

The Criminal Justice Youth Leadership Board and CommunityEngagement Task Group warmly invite you to participate in our 2nd Annual L.I.T (Leaders Igniting Tomorrow)Youth Conference on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00am-2:00pm. The L.I.T. Conference is a youth-celebrated space to support, educate, and empower Mecklenburg County middle and high school youth and their families. The theme for this event is “Uplift. Lead. Connect.”
This conference will include resource fair featuring more than 50 Mecklenburg County youth-centered resources and service. Additionally, attendees can look forward to interactive workshops designed for youth and their adult supporters, youth DJ, photobooth, breakfast & lunch, giveaways, and much more!

EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA 2026

We are preparing for our Easter Extravaganza on April 4 from 1 PM – 3 PM, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this an amazing experience for our children and families.

From welcoming guests to helping with activities, there are plenty of ways to serve and be part of a day filled with fun, joy, and community.

If you’re willing to lend a hand and help us create a memorable event for our children and families, we would love to have you join the team.
