The African-American Heritage Ministry focuses on enlightening the church and community of the rich and diverse nuances of Africans in the Americas, with undergirding Christian perspective. Many of the activities of the African-American Heritage Ministry take place during Black history month; however, the ministry is moving towards year-round activities and that inform, challenge and grow interest in African-American Heritage with a holistic approach.
Bible Study is one of the major tools undergirding the teaching ministry

The Literary Club Ministry at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church was established in 1988 with the purpose of reading and discussing one book per month. Our special emphasis is reading books by African-American authors and also on topics of spirituality, culture, and empowerment.
Five (5) Christian Life and Service Seminars designed specifically to introduce our newest members to Friendship and basic spiritual disciplines that undergird the ministries and organizations of Friendship.
Completion of C.L.A.S.S. 101, 201 and 501 are required. Also, Class 501 can be taken out of sequence. All (3) required classes must be completed prior to Baptism and/or receiving the Right Hand of Fellowship.

Prays for the sick, the shut-in, the bereaved, special prayer requests made by parishioners and other specific issues as directed by the Senior Minister, Dr. Clifford A. Jones, Sr. Persons seeking to engage in ministry through the Praying Disciples must have the spiritual gift of prayer and/or intercession.
Sunday School classes for Beginners (3yrs) to Adults provide a time for graded Biblical studies for children and youth, and a variety of study opportunities for adults. Sunday School classes for children and youth meet at 9:30 a.m. on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays.
Vacation Bible School is an exciting, engaging, interactive week long biblical study time for the entire family. VBS at Friendship begins at 10:30 a.m. the 3rd Sunday in July each year with VBS Kick-Off and week-long learning opportunities for all.
