Theme: The Wife of David and the mother of Solomon
Today’s Scripture: II Samuel 12
Scripture: II Samuel 12:1-24, Message of God
through messenger Nathan, David’s confession, punishment foretold, death of
first Son with Bathsheba and birth of Solomon by his Wife Bathsheba.
Thought: The Lord sent a messenger in Nathan to
let King David know how he was chosen and made King, been delivered from his
enemies and that King David turned to evil and had sinned against God. God also
told King David his punishment, the death of his first Son with Bathsheba. God
later blessed King David and Bathsheba his Wife then with another child Solomon
and God was pleased with him. God also sent Nathan to deliver this message as
well. God is with us in the good times, when we mourn and acknowledge our
transgressions, repent of our sins and when we are restored.
Short Prayer: Creator God thank you for always
being with us and available. Help us oh God to be obedient in all we do and
continue to be with us in all seasons of our lives. In Jesus precious name,
AMEN.
Positive Practice: Take time to reflect often on
what, when and how God has blessed and restored you despite our disobedience.
Lenten Emphasis: Nutrition & Healthy Eating. Make sure at least half of your
plate is fruit and vegetables.
Mission Emphasis: Take the time to show love to our
Girl Scouts and the Girl Scout Leaders.
