Theme: Head to the Hills
Today’s Scripture: Joshua 2:15-17
Scripture: Then
she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the outer
side of the city wall and she resided within the wall itself. 16 She
said to them, “Go toward the hill country, so that the pursuers may not come
upon you. Hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers have returned;
then afterward you may go your way.”
Thought: It
had to be from experience that Rahab could tell the spies to steal away and take
refuge in the hills. Imagine Lenten
Season as the hill country resort that gives us a reprieve from our pursuers as
we pursue God.
Prayer: How nice it is oh God that just
looking up toward the sky is equivalent to someone heading to the hills for
safety and security.
Positive Practice: Each day, take a moment and just look up!!
Lenten Emphasis – Nutrition and Healthy Eating: It’s nothing wrong with treating
yourself to a good ‘cheat’ meal once a week!!
Mission Emphasis Girl
Scouts: Please show care
and support of our Girl Scouts by offering a word of encouragement, making a
financial contribution, or buying Girl Scout cookies
