Date: March 18th
Scripture:
Ruth 3:1-11 Naomi executes a plan
for Ruth to follow.
Thought:
Naomi’s status fell sharply after losing her husband and sons. She acts
decisively to ensure survival, sharing a strategy to empower herself, Ruth, and
their descendants. What may appear extreme from our perspective is a matter of
survival.
Prayer:
Divine Creator, sometimes when I do things out of the ordinary, I feel so
alone. Thanks for the ‘Ruths’ in my life, encouraging me when I need it most.
When you are guiding me, my actions are not risks; they are opportunities to
deepen my faith and love for you. I thank you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Positive Practice:
Sometimes the best plan is limited sharing with others.
Lenten Emphasis:
Consider limiting sugary beverages for a week as an act of healthy stewardship.
Take a faith-filled step for your well-being.
Mission Emphasis:
Reading is fundamental. Please read a book by an African American woman this
month. Share what you learn or are inspired by with others, amplifying voices
that need to be heard. Let your reading spark positive change!
