Theme: Glory That Interrupts
Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 6:1–10
Scripture: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of God’s
glory.” - Isaiah 6:1–10
Thought: In a time of grief and political transition, heaven opens up and reminds
Isaiah that God is still sovereign. God’s glory interrupts despair and
uncertainty to remind us that God is still speaking and calling. Even in grief,
the world remains saturated with God’s holiness.
Prayer: Glorious God, open our eyes to your presence, purify our hearts, and
help us answer your call with courage. Amen.
Positive Practice: Step outside for five minutes. Look at the sky, the
trees, or feel the movement of the wind, and whisper, “The whole earth is full
of God’s glory.” Allow it to quiet your worries. Name one place where life
feels shaky and one way grace still appears.
Lenten Emphasis - Heart Health for African Americans: Grief and constant pressure stresses
the heart. Stillness and intentional rest lower stress and protects
cardiovascular health. During this Lenten season, practice one moment of daily
stillness to lower your stress levels. Caring for your heart honors the life
God has given you.
Mission Emphasis - HBCUs: HBCUs carry generational glory
through education, culture, and leadership. Pray for HBCUs and support efforts
like the C.W. Kerry Scholarship that invest in students’ futures.
