Theme: What’s Comparable to God? Nothing!
Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 40:15–20
Scripture: “Even the nations are like a drop in the bucket…To whom then will you
compare God, or what likeness compare with God?” - Isaiah 40:15–20
Thought: Human systems rise and fall, but divine faithfulness endures. When we
remember that nothing compares to God, worry loosens its grip.
Prayer: Great God, lift our eyes above fear that feels bigger than we are. Break
every false trust we place in things that cannot save us. Anchor our hearts in
your power, love, and faithfulness. Amen.
Positive Practice: Name one worry that feels overwhelming. Place your
hand over your heart and say, “Nothing is greater than God.” Release that worry
to God and take three slow, steady breaths.
Lenten Emphasis - Heart Health for African Americans: Constant stress and pressure strain
the heart and body. Choose one habit that supports heart health. Protecting
your heart through nourishing food and deep breathing is an act of wisdom and
sacred care.
Mission Emphasis - HBCUs: HBCUs are powerful sites of cultural
legacy. Pray for faculty, staff, and administrators who continue this sacred
work. Advocate for HBCUs so they can continue shaping generations whose gifts
the world needs.
