Scripture:
Ruth 2:1-9 Boaz is kind to Ruth, a foreign, widowed, and
motherless woman, as she gleans barley in his
fields.
Thought:
Ruth bravely provides for Naomi by gathering barley despite danger and
rejection. Her actions show the risks we take for loved ones.
Prayer:
God, I want to thank you for protecting me during risks both seen and unseen.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Positive Practice:
Do not allow the opposition of others to deter you from taking risks that can
benefit you and the generations to come.
Lenten Emphasis:
God made the ultimate divine risk by sacrificing Jesus Christ for us. As we
give up 30 minutes of social media for three days, let this courageous step
affirm our gratitude, determination, and faith. Let’s finish strong! YES, WE
CAN!
