3400 Building

  • The Sanctuary at 3400 Beatties Ford Road can accommodate up to 3,000 people.  Several pew sections in the sanctuary are designed and cut specifically to accommodate people in wheel chairs and allows accompanying friends’ convenient seating next to the wheel chair.
  • The Facetted Glass in 3400 designed and installed by Statesville Stained Glass, our sanctuary windows sparkle with the images of our theology and our history from Africa to Charlotte.
  • The Ruffatti Organ was built in Italy; this organ has 6,000 pipe located in five chambers with brass antiphonal in the rear of the sanctuary.
  • The Steeple Bells were cast in France by the Paccard Foundry. Our five bells, High G, A, C, F, and Low G, chime on the hour and can be used in conjunction with the electronic carillon.

Friendship Sportsplex
Athletes from across Mecklenburg County now have a new place to play and practice thanks to a special partnership between Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

On Aug. 30, the department and church officially opened the Friendship Sportsplex on Cindy Lane in west Charlotte. The Sportsplex, which sits on land owned by the church, will be managed by Park and Recreation.
The facility offers several amenities including baseball/softball fields, a picnic shelter and a playground.
